Hunting in the Great State of Texas can be a fun, relaxing, and rewarding adventure, but more and more modern hunting ranches these days focus too heavily on profit and not nearly enough on customer service.

Trust me, I realize how hard it is to find a reliable, dependable hunting ranch to service a hunter’s needs. I spent many outings on various ranches hoping for an adventurous, yet family oriented vacation. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that a quality hunting ranch as described above rarely exists in today’s fast paced world. So I chose a better alternative to endless searches for the perfect hunting ranch to service the needs I expect and demand for every member of my family…I created one! 

In 1995, I began game managing our 3200-acre family ranch in Southwest Texas. It was my intent to create a family oriented hunting area where memorable moments spent with parents, children, and siblings could be achieved through superior customer service and a "family friendly" environment, not to mention the opportunity to see and take trophy Whitetail Deer! Today we feel we've achieved that task.

The Martin Ranch is an excellent hunting operation catering to families, corporations, and individuals. Our "family oriented" environment centers on every member of your group from age 1 to 100. We make sure that you receive the same kind of old-fashioned customer service you should expect on your vacation. You may arrive a customer, but you’ll depart feeling like family. 

Different types of hunting opportunities are available year round. Spring Turkey hunts take place April through May. Exotic game hunts such as Feral Hogs, Mouflon Rams, Corsican Rams, Catalina Goats, Axis Deer, Fallow Deer, Aoudad Sheep, Buffalo, and Elk are available year round, and reservations for all of these hunts should be made as far in advance as possible. We can comfortably accommodate as few as one person or as many as 10 people, but our preferred group size is under 8 guests in one trip.
